Innovative entrepreneur
and humanitarian

Joey Adler is an innovative entrepreneur and humanitarian seeking to reinvent the business of philanthropy through groundbreaking sustainable models.

In 1986, driven by a vision to launch and develop another cutting-edge fashion brand in Canada, Joey and her future husband secured Canadian exclusivity for the Italian-based Diesel fashion label. As former President and CEO of Diesel Canada Inc., Joey’s keen understanding of the Canadian marketplace and her entrepreneurial savvy helped grow the brand into one of the most recognizable and sought after fashion labels in the country.

After her husband and Partner’s death in 2003, Joey started a foundation; ONEXONE, born on Sept 11, 2001 during her experience in the hospital after her husband had been felled by a catastrophic illness. From that experience the commitment to promote the value of a single human life led her to Africa and Haiti where she was struck by the difficulty of philanthropy and its sustainability. From that discovery she began calling for an entrepreneurial spirit to philanthropy and coined “LEVERAGE EVERYTHING YOU DO EVERY DAY FOR GOOD” the philosophy of inculcating seamlessly a philanthropic component in every business model. From there IRII was born targeting the fashion industry and the need to put back into the communities where manufacturing of garments was an important industry. Today one year after retiring from Diesel Canada Joey lives in Venice Beach California and has founded a new business model – a platform and mobile application called DEPT OF GOOD, which encompasses all that Joey has experienced and learned for the last 15 years. The culmination and understanding that disruptive business models steeped in innovation, community building and giving back will be an exciting area for the future generations to embrace. The excitement of starting anew in collaboration with those who will lead the future is an incredible adventure.
